Description

The TRS Sartell, Minnesota office seeks an Accounting Coordinator.  This volunteer will assist the Executive Director with keeping accurate financial records and ensuring The Raining Season meets auditing requirements.

Responsibilities

Record all purchases, receipts, income, wire transfers and payments into Quick Books and/or Excel in a timely manner.

Prepare monthly reconciliation reports, profit & loss, balance sheets, and a budget analysis for the U.S. Executive Director and Board of Directors, exporting information from Quick Books.

Work with Executive Director to prepare accounts for auditing and liaise with independent Auditors.

Skills and Qualifications

Must be detail-oriented. Ability to keep financial information confidential. Must be proficient in QuickBooks, journal entries and creating reports. Prefer prior work/volunteer experience in finance, banking, bookkeeping, or accounting. Ability to take direction and work independently.

Child Advocates

Works directly with the Executive Director and Volunteer Administrator.  For more information, please email advocacy@therainingseason.org

Description

A Child advocate will share the TRS story and represent children needing sponsorship with those around them. The advocate will work to increase sponsorship support for the children and will advocate for their needs. TRS will equip each advocate with the necessary materials to sign up new sponsors and will also offer incentive support to those who accept the call to become a child advocate.
